I spent the weekend with cards.  So much for cleaning the house! I’m getting ready for several shows over the holidays, and I have spent some time creating greeting cards of my images. Each card is printed on white, heavyweight, satin-finish card stock and hand signed and titled by yours truly.

Thank goodness, my son helped on Saturday. I had printed more than 200 cards, written titles and signed each one. He helped me with printing and assembling. For a 16 year old kid? That’s pretty cool.

As he folded and enveloped, I placed into plastic baggies. Afterwards, we categorized them according to subject: Animals & Critters, Food & Wine, People Stuff, Figures, Seasonal.

I cannot believe how many images I have painted in the last 2 years. It is very exciting! Next year is a new chance to create even more art! I can’t stand it!! I can’t wait! I have images bouncing around in my head, ready for release!

I’ve had people purchase my cards, and give them to someone who ends up framing them. Inexpensive art! They really are very beautiful. I have worked hard on making them a small piece of fine art. All are individually signed and titled by yours truly.

Who, Me? Greeting card

Who, Me? Greeting card. $4.00 each

I’m selling many cards. They have been received very well. I cannot seem to keep some in stock, like “Who, Me?”, above. I began creating them because when I purchase a gift for someone, I want a card that is special, beautiful, and unique, not a slick, mass-produced card full of sickly-sweet poetry. I started making my own to attach to gifts when I realized: I bet other people want the same. As soon as I printed a few, they sold immediately. People loved them! Thank you to Lifetime Vision Care, my test market. You all are awesome co-workers!
