We painted figures and details today, working in scale, meshing items so that they blended into their surroundings.

Proportioning figures into their environment, above.

We practiced painting them individually and in groups.

Simple human figures, above.

Everyone had fun with these.

Example of student work, above.
I taught upstairs in the castle breakfast room today, to allow us to spread out more. The weather was cool. We kept class indoors.
So much color, so much fun.

After class, I went for a walk and captured photos of the area.

Look at the sun on this funghi!
Finally…directional sunlight!!
Aperitif time!

Until tomorrow, our last day of class! Ciao!

So pretty. The late afternoon light highlighted one edge just perfectly. We didn’t paint it, but hopefully someday!
